Dave Bennett, principal lawyer at Bennett Lawyers Professional Corporation, has been advocating for clients since his call to the bar in 2005. Practising primarily in criminal law, Dave has built his career defending individuals across Northern Ontario facing criminal and provincial offence charges.

Dave began his legal career in Vancouver after graduating with honours from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, followed by a Bachelor of Laws from University of Victoria.

His early legal experience included positions with prominent corporate law firms, as well as public sector work with the City of Surrey, British Columbia. In 2007, Dave relocated to Haileybury, Ontario, drawn by the balance and strong sense of community offered by small-town life.

Since then, he has practised primarily as defence counsel, developing extensive courtroom and litigation experience. In 2018, Dave founded Bennett Lawyers Professional Corporation and has since focused exclusively on litigation, providing strategic and experienced representation to clients throughout Northern Ontario.
