Dave Bennett, principal lawyer at Bennett Lawyers Professional Corporation, has been a dedicated advocate since his call to the bar in 2005. Specializing in criminal law, David has dedicated his professional career to defending the rights of individuals across Northern Ontario who face criminal and provincial offences. 
 

Dave began his legal career in Vancouver after graduating with honours from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, followed by a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Victoria.

 

Dave’s early legal career encompassed a range of experiences, including positions at prominent corporate law firms and in the public sector with the City of Surrey, British Columbia. In 2007, he relocated to Haileybury, Ontario, seeking the balance and community of small-town life. Since then, he has worked as both Crown Counsel and, more notably, as defence counsel. In 2018, Dave founded Bennett Lawyers, where he has since dedicated his practice exclusively to litigation, providing focused and experienced representation to clients throughout Northern Ontario.
